The Kalymnos Dining Set, Up Close

A Glass Top over Golden Beige Gloss

Beneath a polished glass overlay, the rectangular top is finished in high-gloss golden beige lacquer. The edges are rounded, and a continuous embossed gold-leaf carved frieze runs around the rim. Below, a wide double-column base does the carrying: cream lacquered columns edged with vertical faceted bronze-mirror strips and horizontal gold carved bands. After dinner, the glass wipes clean in seconds.

Carved Two-Tone Chairs

Each chair sweeps up in a long curved back framed in glossy gold-beige lacquer and crowned with an acanthus-and-rosette carving. The back panel is a two-tone beige-and-silver fish-scale weave; the seat is beige-brown damask jacquard finished with cord piping. Carved gold-accented front legs carry the detail down to the floor. The host seats have inward-curving carved armrests.

A Double-Module Buffet in Faceted Doors

The double-module buffet keeps dinnerware, glassware and linens behind four doors. Each door sits in a shield outline and fills with three-dimensional faceted diamond panels that pick up the light. Spiral gold handles, a recessed mirrored top, fluted side panels, carved friezes and bun feet finish the piece.

Folding Mirrors and a Serving Console

A narrow console with a column base, recessed glass strips and its own gold carved frieze sets up the serving corner. Two hexagonal wall mirrors hang above, each fanning open in three bronze-and-silver toned glass panels around a central column. Fold them flat or spread them wide. A matching side table rounds out the set in the same cream, warm gold and mother-of-pearl palette.
