An Oval Table on Two Sail Bases

The oval top has a dark smoky-anthracite surface with fine horizontal lines under the gloss, and a thin warm-bronze band runs along the underside of the edge, a little like a metal frame. Two wide, tapered sail-shaped bases carry the whole thing, both in a warm-bronze metallic finish. The pedestal layout leaves the oval top free of corner legs. From most angles the table reads as one clean sculpture.

Six Chairs in Light Grey Melange

Each chair has a mid-high wing back that curves inward. The fabric is a light grey melange with a bit of texture, and it takes the edge off all the gloss around the table. Legs are slim and tapered, in a dark wood that’s nearly black.

A Bowed Buffet with Faceted Brass Handles

The buffet carries a gentle bow at the front, an off-white gloss lacquer body and a dark smoky gloss top. Two drawers sit at the centre, wide over narrow, and they open on diamond-faceted brass handles. Door compartments sit alongside for the bulkier stuff. Down at the floor, the buffet stands on cylindrical bronze feet. Plates, linens, the good cups: everything stays close at hand and nothing sits on the gloss.

Two Overlapping Ovals on the Wall

Above the buffet, a flat warm-bronze panel and a mirrored oval overlap. The layering adds depth to the wall, reflects light into the room and repeats the curves of the table. Nothing loud. It just finishes the set.
